An interesting mixed group of militaria to include WWII period military issue map of Bastia (air) and two early 20th century Ordnance Survey maps of Belgium and Germany, ephemera to include Service and Release books, Signal Wing of School of Infantry booklet, photographs and official documents, also a Christmas 1914 tin, mixed badges and buttons, leather cartridge belt etc.
A .577 percussion three-band Tower Rifle-Musket, pattern 1853 39" barrel with ordnance and proof stamps; ladder rear-sight, block-and-blade fore-sight and jag-head ramrod, the lock stamped '1858' over 'TOWER'; the stock with rework stamp 'Pimlico 1860' and the soldier/owner's monogram W D stamped over it, the tang of the butt plate marked (possibly spuriously) with unit numbers: 'Y' over '363'

Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Limited - A silver and enamel presentation medal for The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants, awarded to Reginald Townsend KCB CBE, President 1932-1933, well cast with foliate scrolls about a central enamelled shield over motto, original presentation box, 4.7cm max ** Reginald Townsend also held the post of Director of Ordnance Factories prior to his death in 1939.
A Rare 1814 Heavy Cavalry Pattern 1796 Sword 2nd North British Dragoons (Scots Greys) Presented here, a pre- Battle Of Waterloo sword, the blade with impressed 'B' - Board Of Ordnance Stamp, indicative as issued for combat, reverse of the blade stamped '4' with coronet above. Blade profile marked Woolley & Co, the scabbard locket impressed with suppliers name 'Osborn & Gunby Birmingham'. Langets intact, good condition, original suspension ring intact, crease to scabbard - please see images. Sword length 40.5 inches, blade length, 35 inches. The 1796 pattern was a brutally heavy cavalry sword, designed specifically as a cutting weapon with hatchet point design, the sword was used by the British Heavy Cavalry throughout most of the period of the revolutionary and Napoleonic wars
Naval See Battalion Insignia, consisting of Funkmaat (Radio Operator) finely embroidered yellow thread with a red lightning bolt on field grey cloth, two areas of moth to the left hand side of the insignia with accompanying Feuerwerksmaat (Ordnance Career Enlisted Man). Again finely embroidered yellow on a full oval circlet of field grey backing cloth surmounted by the Imperial Crown. Both pieces measuring 10cms x 9cms. (2 items)

Colonel W. E. BLEWITT C.M.G. R.A.Major General William Edward Blewitt (1854 - 1939) was born in Pinner and was educated at Harrow. He was commissioned at the R.A. on 12th February 1874 - promoted Captain 1st Aug. 1883, Major 14th March 1891 and Lt. Colonel 13th February 1900. He served in the Second Boer War where he was mentioned twice in General White's despatches on 2nd December 1899 and 23rd March 1900. During the War he was wounded and invalidid to England. He was awarded the C.B. in 1908, C.M.G. in 1900 and C.B.E. in 1919. He was secretary of the Ordnance Committee, Commandant of the School of Gunnery for Horse Artillery, Director of Artillery at the War Office, General Officer Commanding South Coastal Defence (1911 - 1914) and Portsmouth Garrison (1914 - 1916)
