Henry Frederick Twynam was made Cornet by purchase in the 3rd (Prince of Wales's) Dragoon Guards 6th November 1863, having resigned a commission in the Middlesex Artillery Volunteer Corps. He was appointed Instructor of Musketry at the Cavalry Depot in Canterbury in 1864, and was promoted to Lieutenant in 1866. He retired in 1869 and passed away on the Isle of Wight in 1903.
