An 1853 Pattern Crimean War Period .577 1855 Dated Tower Proofed Calibre Percussion Enfield Three Band Military Rifle of standard production specification with sighted 99cm barrel retained by three bands and fitted with ladder back-sight, 1855 dated lock marked `Tower` with VR crown, walnut full stock, inscribed ‘I.C.R - H. Wheeler’ - ‘Pimlico W.O. 1864’ with regulation brass mounts, complete with its steel ramrod, 140cm overall, complete with regulation bayonet.

Runkel, Sohlingen on backstrap, and etched on both sides with crowned GR cypher and trophies of instruments and weapons, steel semi basket ladder pattern guard, heavy facetted pommel and backstrap, 2” deep shaped wirebound fishskin grip, in its steel scabbard (3 dents) with 2 rings.
