Section 58(2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, photo ID will be required if this lot is to be posted out. 109cm long The rifle is in good overall condition. The action functions with a strong positive lock up and feels like it has not done a large amount of work. The striker fires with a strong sounding spring. The bore is excellent with no pitting or faults and a crisp rifling pattern. The bluing is generally all present with a small amount of wear, there is some very light corrosion spots but these are fairly minor. The butt plate has a fair amount of surface corrosion. The butt stock has its original finish but the forend has been sanded and refinished leaving the stamped markings lighter than they should be. There are scratches and dents overall but not splits or repairs.

Enfield Martini Henry 577/450 Cavalry Carbine IC1, with 20.5 inch barrel (saw cut to the breech) fitted with folding ladder sight, the receiver stamped DP, SX, crown VR stamp with 1888 date, sold out of service stamped butt. Section 58(2) Antique /obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, photo ID will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 96cm long The carbine has been sympathetically cleaned up and is in a good presentable condition. The bore has a good strong rifling pattern throughout, there is a few small pitting patches that can be seen towards the muzzle. There is a saw cut to the breech. The action functions well with a good positive lock up and strong sounding mainspring. The metalwork has some light surface pitting, there is heavier pitting at the point where the barrel meets the woodwork of the forend. There is a patch of the barrel where the bluing is worn through to polished metal. The woodwork has been very lightly sanded and freshly finished. It has a good feel to it but some of the marks are a little faint. There are some stains, scratch marks and light dents. The cleaning rod is missing.
Danish Remington 11.7x51R M.1867 rolling block rifle, serial number 61233, 35inch barrel secured by three bands, fitted with bayonet lug, coastal defence folding ladder sight, the receiver with royal crest stamps and model designation, the tang stamped arsenal mark Klobenhavns Tohuus and dated 1882. Together with a leather sling and bayonet. Section 58(2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. The bore is virtually mint with only a small amount of very minor frosting spots just ahead of the chamber. The action works correctly with a positive lock-up and strong spring. The metal finish has some wear but a fair amount of blue remains. There is some light speckled pitting to the trigger guard and butt plate. The butt stock has some shakes (shrinkage splits present from when the wood was worked) There is a small dented or damaged area to the tip of the comb of the stock which could look like a split from the images but it is not. The wood stock is free from breaks or repairs, there are some dents and marks. The bayonet is in a much more worn condition with overall light pitting and some corrosion. The leather scabbard has a fold mark around the midpoint and there are some scratches dents and marks. The sling is perishing in quite a few areas and has broken at the top where there is a button retainer.

The stock has some dents and marks from use but no splits or repairs. The rear sight behind the tang is a later non original addition.

There are some light scuffs and also impression marks to the barrel and receiver where someone has tried to remove the barrel. The rear sight leaf spring is missing. The action cocks and releases but the mainspring sounds weak. The metal work has some light pitting marks throughout. The stock has a very short split at the rear tang, outside this it is free from damage and repair. There are some stains, dents and marks. The cleaning rod is missing.

The bore is good with a strong rifling pattern but it would probably improve with a good scrub out and clean. There is currently some muck of light corrosion that can be seen in the gaps between the rifling grooves. The action works as it should with a strong spring and positive lock up. There is some light-speckled pitting and surface corrosion to the metal finish generally. The stock has lots of dents and scratches but there are no repairs or damage.
Deactivated Irish M1904 Ulster Volunteer Force Steyr Mannlicher bolt action rifle, 29inch barrel fitted with folding ladder sight graduated in Schritt, secured by two barrel bands one incorporating a bayonet lug, the action stamped Steyr 1904, the butt stock stamped with UVF oval incorporating the fist logo, serial number 88 to stock, bolt and receiver.This rifle is one of 25,000 produced with leftover parts from the M1892 Romanian Mannlicher contract. It was smuggled into Ireland as part of a cache of arms involved in the Larne gun-running operation organised by Major Frederick Crawford and Captain Wilfrid Spender on behalf of the Ulster Unionist Council. Buyer must be over the age of 18. 130cm long The rifle is in good general condition but it has probably had an old refinish throughout. The bolt opens and closes and the cartridge platform raises and lowers. The bolt will not cock or dry fire. There is some surface wear and scratches to the blued finish and very light surface speckling to the polished parts. The stock has a small repair to the toe and there are two dowel plugs to the forend wood that can be seen just below the rear sight. The markings to the stock are a little faint due to the refinish work. The leather strap is still functional but it is starting to perish in places.

DWM Mauser 1893 7x57 bolt action rifle probably for the ZAR / OVS Boer war, 30inch barrel, folding ladder sight, matching serial numbers 7791 to receiver and bolt.Outside of the serial number and DWM stamps, the rifle is completely unmarked except for a small stock cartouche with similar marks found on the receiver and bolt. There is evidence of markings being removed from the stock and the top of the receiver. The bolt has the square base to the head typical of ZAR / OVS Mausers.
