The bore has not been cleaned out properly since it was last shot and a well oiled rag returns dirty black / dark brown. Using a bore light the bore looks good in most areas but there looks like there could be very light surface pitting around mid bore however this might be dirt that can be cleaned up with wire brush. The bore has now been sprayed with a light protective gun oil. The nipple and surrounding area all look ok without serious problems. The gun has had some sights mounted to the stock which have now been removed and plugged with wood pegs.

The action body has some light scratches which run across both sides. This looks to be from manufacture as they are present underneath the traces of bluing which remain. The slot in the top of the magazine tube is slightly chewed. The stock has been refinished. There is a chip to the right side of the stock where it meets the action and there has been a repaired split to the forend. The woodwork has some fresh dents and scratches.

The bore has rifling but has heavy pitting throughout.

There is one dent/scratch to the tip of the left side of the forend which needs some attention in order for the gun to look its best. The bore has strong rifling present but a patch of pitting mid way which might improve with cleaning.
