Parker Knoll - PK1016/7/8/9 - A 20th century retro vintage teak wood easy / lounge chair / armchair having a tall slatted ladder back backrest with button backed pad seat and backrest cushions, shaped teak arms and all raised on tapering legs. Metal plaque to underside. Measures; 98cm x 66cm x 76cm.
A Victorian Tower 1857 Percussion Three Band Musket, .650 calibre, the 99cm steel barrel with hinged ladder rear sight, the lock plate marked with crown over V.R., 1857, TOWER, the walnut full stock with three steel barrel bands with sprung clips, brass fore-end tip, trigger guard and butt plate, with two sling swivels, leather sling and steel ramrod, 140cm, together with a socket bayonet with brass mounted leather scabbard, the frog button stamped 140. Action works, holds at full and half cock. Bruising to stock and butt plate. Piece of wood missing to the right side of the barrel tang behind the nipple. Bore is deeply pitted and the muzzle is rather uneven. Later covered in a thick varnish.
A Scarce Variant of a Martini-Henry Mk.III Two Band Rifle, .577-.450 calibre, the 84.5cm steel barrel and all metal parts with numerous War Department and inspector's marks, with blade foresight and hinged ladder rearsight, the right side of the receiver stamped with crowned V.R./ENFIELD/1879 (first year of production), crowned arrow/ III/1, with walnut full stock, the right side of the butt stamped with ENFIELD roundel III/1, with two sling swivels and clearing rod, 125.5cm. In good clean working condition. Crisp rifling. Minor bruising to stock.
A fine exhibition standard 5 inch gauge model of a 0-6-0 American Chicago West Pullman & Southern Railroad tender locomotive No 29 ‘Cincinnati’, built by Mr Alf Ogilvie of South Africa an associated and fellow model engineering friend of the famous builder Ron Etta. The model with multi tube boiler and cab fittings including steam pressure gauge, water sight-glass with glazed protector frame, regulator, direction control quadrant with graduations and lever, lever operated fire-box door, plus other traditional fittings, detailing and associated pipework. The chassis having twin outside cylinders with piston valves, Walschaert’s valve gear, ratchet oiler driven from fluted motion, clack valves, polished copper pipework, brake gear, safety valves, injector and polished brass steam whistle. The eight-wheel double bogie tender with fitted hand brake, driver's seat and access ladder fitted to back. The model finished in polished steel and black livery with cab side name plate ‘Cincinnati’, smoke box circular builders plate ‘The Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia 61424 USA 1930’. locomotive number plate to smoke box door, polished copper pipework, brass lamp to front of locomotive and brass bell to top of locomotive being operated from cab interior.
