A 19th century Chinese hardwood ladder form stand with three shelves. Height 119 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The two sides of the ladder stand are in basically good order. There are no losses and only slightly looseness of the spindles. The shelf supports require some attention. Some are replaced and others are loose. There is damage to the pierced areas beneath all three shelves.

Winchester .44WCF / 44-40 1892 lever action rifle, 24 inch octagonal barrel with dove tailed front sight and folding ladder rear sight, full length magazine tube, crescent shape butt plate, serial number 224387. UK RFD OR FIREARMS LICENCE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.106cm long Condition report: The rifle was proofed in July this year and has recently arrived back from the proof house. It has spent many years in this country being shot and enjoyed by its owner but has never been UK proofed before. The loading gate cover is missing. The present owner has never had this part during his ownership of the rifle. The action has had the two locking lugs or bolts replaced by a gunsmith prior to proof as the original ones were very loose. The action appears to work correctly but feels 'new' due to the new lugs. The bore has some pitting. This is mainly light and in the grooves however, there are some darker patches around a third of the way down (looking from the muzzle). The gun has a large amount of original finish which is fading to plum colour. There is some pitting to the rear sight and the tensioning screw which would go through the dove tail is missing. The woodwork appears to be original finish with some scratches dents and marks from use.

Section 58 (2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. 140cm long Condition report: Action works correctly but the 'jockey cap' protector is corroded to the nipple. The stock has a large number of dents and marks typical of a military gun, there is a chip to the woodwork beside the lock plate but no other damages or repairs. The metalwork and bore has overall pitting and corrosion 

Enfield P53 percussion three band .577 musket, 39 inch barrel smooth bored barrel fitted with ladder sights, the lock stamped crown VR and dated 1860, brass furniture, the butt plate tang with unit mark 'V Sr 4 62'Section 58 (2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.140cm long

The action works with a strong spring and lock up. The bore is good with no pitting. Most original finish remains with only minor pitting and corrosion spots. There is some wear to the bluing in places mainly on the barrel from handling. The stock has the usual knocks marks and dents but no splits or defacing marks.

Remington Rolling block rifle .43 Spanish rifle, 35-inch barrel fitted with bayonet lug foresight and folding ladder sight graduated to 1000 yards, and secured by three barrel bands, two stage action the tang with 2nd type three line Remington address and patent marks, circa 1874, serial number 1668. Army and Navy 297/230 take down The British Cadet Rifle, 26 inch barrel fitted with folding ladder sight, with cleaning rod, the action engraved A&N C.S.Ltd London, the stock stamped twice with serial number 48601. Together with socket bayonet. Section 58 (2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18.Condition report: Action works correctly. The metalwork has most original finish but there are some patches of pitting and corrosion. The bore is generally good with a few light patches of pitting which I do not think will polish out. The wood is generally good with some marks and dents but nothing defacing. There are two splits emanating from the take down pins. The butt stock has possibly been refinished or cleaned up as some of the metalwork stands slightly proud, this could however be due to wood strinkage. The bayonet will not fit on the muzzle, this is probably due to the internal corrosion of the socket.

Martini Henry 577/450 short rifle, 25inch barrel with folding ladder sight stamped Henry Rifling, the action fitted with 'Bakers Improved Safety Bolt No.120' and stamped on reverse with Martini's Patent and serial number 12680, chequered stock stamped 4242.Section 58 (2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18.Condition report: Action works correctly. The bore has some light surface pitting but there is still strong rifling present. The action and metalwork generally have light pitting overall. The stock has some dents and scratches but nothing defacing, there are no splits or repairs. 

Martini Henry 577/450 carbine, 20 inch barrel fitted with folding ladder sight, with Persian Jezail type white metal decorative mounts and binding, two pieces bear British inspection stamps.Provenance : gifted to the vendor whilst in Oman 1974.Section 58 (2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.

The bore is good with only very minor pitting spots. The metalwork generally has light corrosion and pitting. The stock has been refinished and there is a repair beside one of the side nails which holds the lock in place and another repair to the stock where it meets the action. 

Snider 1869 pattern .577 cavalry carbine, 19 inch barrel with MkIII shoe fitted with folding ladder sight (blade lacking) crown VR lock stamped 1859 Tower, the stock fitted with two screws for leather sight protector, and stamped 2 N C, the heel of the butt plate stamped V I W C.Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.Condition report: The gun is in sleeper condition and would benefit from a good clean-up generally. Action cocks and releases with a very strong mainspring. The stock has the usual dents but no splits. The metalwork has some fresh corrosion and there is light pitting generally, this is heavier on the lock plate. The bore has some large pitting patches which would clean up but it will never be a perfect bore again. The three groove rifling looks strong outside of the pitting.
