Ladies` diamond set wristwatch by Benedict, jewelled movement, “working” order, pearl coloured dial, approx. 14mm, batons for numerals, some very slight marks on dial & some very slight surface scratches to glass, case with surround of forty small brilliant cut stones, bracelet comprising thirty three brilliant cut stones each in square setting, total diamond weight approx. 4.00 carats, fitted with ladder fastener, all in white gold, stamped 18ct (gross 23.9g) boxed
A French 12 bore Model 1853 rifled percussion musket, 49½” overall, barrel 34” with tall ladder rearsight, the breech tang engraved “Mle 1853”, the muzzle with bayonet lug and guide; back action lock engraved “Mre Impale de St Etienne”, walnut fullstock, the butt bearing 1865 ordnance store-keeper’s mark, steel mounts including sling swivels (one AF), and with replacement ramrod from an Enfield rifle. GWO & C (the nipple missing, metalwork with light to moderate pitting overall, some bruising to stock).
A scarce Bing liner A 40cm long pressed steel and tinplate single screw liner, believed made c1920. Sports a red hull, black and cream sides above the waterline and light brown representing a wooden upper deck. The superstructure comprises 2 decks with extensive fenestration, then a small open bridge at deck 3 accessed by a short ladder aft. The 4 funnels are about 2.5cm high, the one accommodating the key being missing. On the upper deck are 2 vents for’ard, bases for main masts for’ard and aft and a stowage cover aft. The masts and rudder are missing except for 2 mast stubs. A 5cm bracket secured under the hull keeps the model upright. The clockwork motor operates but does not turn the screw. GC for age, significant chipping, paintwork a little crazed in places, requires cleaning. See Plate28.
2 Dinky Supertoys Turntable Fire Escape no. 956 featuring operating turntable ladder and including cord replacement instruction leaflet. Pullmore Car Transporter no. 982 complete with Loading Ramp no. 794. Both boxed, some wear, turntable box has 2 small holes to lid; vehicles GC to VGC, minor chipping.
A fine scale model of the White Star liner RMS’ Titanic’. With a length of 108cm, this superbly detailed vessel displays many features of the famous Harland & Wolff built original, including ‘planked’ decking with equipment including life-boats, cranes, ventilators, stairways, capstans and detailed rigging. Each of the four funnels is equipped with a ladder providing access to the ship’s sirens. The detailed hull displays portholes, plating etc. The vessel is equipped with three propellers, rudder, and anchors to bow. Complete with a display stand. VGC. See illustration.
A Belgian made 11mm Chassepot Model 1866 bolt action needle fire rifle, 52” overall, barrel 32½”, the breech with traces of Liege proof marks, Chassepot trade mark, and number 990, the bolt also bearing Chassepot trade mark and Liege proofs, the walnut stock with regulation steel mounts, sling swivels and cleaning rod, the butt stamped “Bernard Tambeur, Liege”. GWO & basically GC (light to moderate pitting to metalwork, rearsight ladder missing). Plate 7
