A matched set of ten 19th century Chippendale style ladder-back dining chairs, including one carver, eight with stuff-over seats and two with drop-in cushions, seat height 47-49cm. (10)All sturdy with no loose joints. One with the lowest splat repaired. One with repair to stretcher. Generally fair with cosmetic marks and other signs of wear consistent with age and use. Mixed colour and figuring and designs do differ.

A set of six 1970s Danish rosewood dining chairs by Sorg Stolefabrik, with low raked ladder backs and over upholstered seats in plain woven fabric, raised on slender tapered legs. The upholstery in this lot does not comply with the 1988 (Fire & Fire Furnishing) Regulations, unless sold to a known exporter or upholsterer it will be cut from the frame before leaving the premises.

Medieval, Viking, A silver neck or armlet ring, 10th century, 71.28g, 9.4cm diameter by 1cm thick; multiple twisted rods braided together, tapering in size and then beaten flat at both ends into a rectangular plate decorated with triangular stamped punches each with three pellets; there are four rows of identical punches separated by a ladder punched design; eye and hook terminals. Very fine but one end plate has detached £1,200-£1,500 --- Provenance: From the deceased estate, a Captain in the Polish cavalry during the Second World War who settled in the UK in 1945 The style is typical of an Eastern Viking provenance.
