There is overall pitting which is heavier around the action and trigger guard. There is a patch of corrosion to the barrel beside the bayonet bar. There is a faint crack to the forend beside the ramrod channel. The forend looks to be original finish however the butt has been scrubbed back to repair a split, there are some small damages to the stock around the lever catch block too. The butt plate has been replaced. The butt is a little loose and could do with tightening up. The bore is surprisingly good considering the condition elsewhere, it has a few dark spots close to the muzzle but the rifling remains strong.

The gun is in nice presentable condition. The bore is good with strong rifling and only minimal light pitting marks. The metalwork outside has been refinished some time ago as it now looks in keeping with the age of the gun. The Remington roll marks are very faint. There is some pitting patches to small areas mainly the barrel bands and to the very edges of the action. The stock has also been refinished, there are minor marks and dents as you would expect and small chips to the wood at the cleaning rod channel.

There is light pitting to the metalwork on the exterior with some heavier areas on items such as the barrel bands. There is the odd patch of corrosion which would probably clean up. The cleaning rod is missing. The stock has some deep scratches to the but and has been cleaned up at some point leaving the cartouche faint.
