A Presentation Volunteer two-band rifle, 91cm barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sight and blade fore sight, border engraved lock signed “THOMAS TURNER, 8 FISHER STREET, BIRMINGHAM”, full stocked with regulation steel mounts, chequered wrist and fore-end, the butt inlaid with large oval white metal presentation plaque “1861 PRESENTED TO THE 17TH KENT RIFLE VOLUNTEERS BY MRS WRIGHT OF LANSDOWNE”. Hammer spur chipped off. Based on the 1858 Pattern Short Rifle.

A Three Band Webley Snider Prize Rifle, 98.5cm barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sight, the lock signed P.WEBLEY & SON and with a winged bullet at the tail, full stocked with regulation brass and steel mounts, the butt applied with a white metal plaque engraved E.R.D.Dove Wimbledon 1880. Striker and hammer retaining screw lacking. barrel with surface rust and pitting.
