Plus a cab only for the Fruit and Vegetables lorry and a clockwork motor for a Mettoy vehicle. FC-QGC Age worn, restoration required to all.
A scarce 10.67mm Russian 1871 model Berdan II SS military carbine, 39½" overall, barrel 20½" stamped with small Imperial eagle on breech and frame and with folding ladder rearsight, number 29245, dated 1879, walnut fullstock with storekeeper's stamp on butt, 2 steel barrel bands and steel mounts. A rare .55" Greene's Patent breech loading British military percussion carbine, 34½" overall, barrel 18" with short folding ladder rearsight, bearing ordnance inspector's mark and government sale stamp; the lock stamped with crown "VR", "Mass Arms Co Chicopee Falls, USA" and with integral Maynard tape primer; walnut butt stamped "1/G/17/RDMR", steel mounts including patchbox with American ordnance inspector's mark, sling loop attached to tail of trigger guard. GWO & C (some surface rust and light pitting) See front cover. Note: After trials at Hythe in 1856 2000 of these carbines were ordered, being delivered into store by March 1858. However, they were never issued for service, still being held in store in 1866. The sale mark on the barrel and stamps on the butt indicate that they were sold off and issued to Yeomanry at some stage. With the lot is a photocopy of "Directions for Using Greene's Carbine....Manufactured and Sold by the Massachusetts Arms Company".
KRIEGHOFF, A .375 H&H MAGNUM BOXLOCK EJECTOR OVER AND UNDER RIFLE, NO. 71819, the 25-inch monobloc barrels, short raised rib, folding ladder sight, raised foresight interchangeable 12-bore/9.3x74r combination barrels, 12-bore barrel fitted with .22 cal adaptor, the rib with folding leaf sight, Kersten bolts, the frame with scroll engraving, the top strap with cocking studs, 14 1/2-inch figured hog's back stock with pistol grip, cheekpiece and butt trap, barrels with separate fore ends, 9lb. 4oz. (with .375 barrels), 8lb. 8oz. with combination barrels, German nitro proof, combination barrels fitted with Zeiss 4x32 telescopic sight. The rifle appears relatively little used and retains almost all its original finish.
A Lancashire Ash Wavy Ladder-back Rush-seat Nursing Chair. The six graduated back rungs between slightly splayed round turned uprights with nipple terminals. The horizontal turned arm rests on baluster posts leading down to the low rush seat and on to form the legs united by a baluster turned front stretcher and plain turned side & rear stretchers, terminating on pad & block feet.
