The drawing has been mounted so that the edges of the paper can be seen. SIgns of some ink text on the reverse of the paper showing above the top rung of the ladder. Overall in very good condition. Some very slight tears to the edges of the paper (some of these have been disguised by painting the mount underneath the same colour. Some inkspots near the model's left foot. Some discolouring consistent with age.

ARR John Plumb (1927-2008) Abstract with Colour Ladder, signed and dated '72 lower right, ink and acrylic on paper collage, mixed media, 50.5 x 69.5 cm, frame 75 x 93 cmCondition:The painting is a work on paper, framed under glazing – not examined external to the frame. The sheet has mould to the surface throughout – especially to the left-hand side. There is some cockling to the upper left hand corner- otherwise no obvious tears or creasing etc. The colours and ink appear well preserved. The mount has significant mould and foxing due to being stored in a damp environment, the glass is dirty internally and externally. The painting is housed in the original metal frame- there is some plastic film like material encrusted around the frame.
