ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS / USA 1856' on the tail, the primer cover marked 'MAYNARD'S PATENT', iron mounted one piece walnut stock with butt-plate and patchbox, the butt stamped for 1st class, much original finish to barrel, small patch of pitting near breech.

CO. / HARTFORD CONN' in front of the rear-sight and behind it 'NEW MODEL 1863', fitted with a block and blade front-sight and ladder rear-sight, the lock marked to the centre 'SHARPS PAT. OCT. 5TH 1852' and at the top below the pellet primer 'R. S. LAWRENCE PATENT APRIL 12TH 1859', the action tang stamped with the serial number C27,531, dating the carbine to 1864, iron mounted two piece walnut stock with butt-trap and side rib and ring, the left butt impressed with a faint inspecting officer's cartouche, closer to the butt is a large rub mark, (many Sharps carbine are encountered with this feature indicative of rubbing in a saddle scabbard and use), small repair to the toe of the butt.

With adjustable tilter balls along the back feet, one missing.An extremely similar example can be found at the Shaker Museum in Mount Lebanon: "Side Chair with Pewter Tilter Buttons, 1950.215.1."Height: 35 1/2 in x width: 17 1/2 in x depth: 13 in.
A lady's 9ct gold bracelet watch, the circular silvered dial with gilt Arabic quarters and arrowhead markers, signed W of S for Watches of Switzerland, to a jewelled manual wind movement, the case and articulated bracelet signed DS&S, case numbered 01029 and hallmarked for London 1961, accompanied by Watches of Switzerland box, case width, total length 17cmScuffs, nicks and spotting to dial. Scuffs and nicks/chips to glass, general surface wear throughout case and bracelet. Some of the bracelet links are slightly mis-shapen, width of bracelet approx. 4.5mm, excluding clasp. The bracelet clasp ladder section has been later extended, with a split to one of the solder seams at the side. The clasp is currently functioning. Patchy light wear to marks. The movement runs when wound but is untested for working order, which cannot be guaranteed. Gross weight, excluding dial/movement, approx. 12gm.
