An impressive English 17th century casket, the several panels and doors covered in panels of silk embroidery with metal brocaded edging, front door with Ruth and Boaz, left side panel a scene of Jacob's ladder, right side The Sacrifice of Isaac, back Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, top Abraham expelling Hagar and Ishmael. The smaller panels with lion and leopard and emblematic hearts, the lower interior with panels of silk embroidery to drawer fronts. About 1650-70, 10.5 in. x 9.5 in. x 7in. The silk faded, distressed in places, the metal brocading pulled, metal fittings original but broken in places, wooden bun feet missing. In later wood and glass display case.

A scarce .577/.450 Martini Henry "back position" target rifle, no. 373. 33-inch barrel impressed with trademark and Henrys Patent , folding ladder sight, the receiver impressed on the left side Hulse, Pringle & Woodhead with trademark and also Martini's Patent, the right side with feint engraving ........... Essex Road, London, lightly pitted, full length stock with two barrel bands, the butt with escutcheon, inscription erased, and fitted with its folding "back position" adjustable aperture rearsight, the muzzle fitted with adjustable ring foresight, possibly a later replacement, contempory London black powder proof. 8lb. 14oz.
A fine .303 Martini Enfield rifle. 30.5 inch barrel with folding ladder sight, foresight with original sliding cover, the receiver impressed Superior Quality English Manufacture, loading lever and cocking indicator, full length stock with two barrel bands, steel buttplate, retaining much of its original finish overall, nitro proof, together with a correct pattern bayonet, 8lb. 8oz.
