The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: An Early 20th Century Paper Fan mounted on simple pale wooden sticks, the double leaf printed with a night time scene of two pierrots, one half way up a ladder, attempting to rescue a rather angry black cat from the rooftops, the full moon with a benign expression. The verso is plain. Guard length 8.5 inches or 22cmGood. Very slight rubbing to the folds.

A Pair of Elegant Late 18th/Early 19th Century Fruitwood Rush-seat Ladder-back Side Chairs. The five graduated hump-topped back bars held between round turned uprights with nipple finials. The rush seats supported by knopped baluster legs carved with stylised wheat-sheaves to the hips and terminating on pad feet, joined by a bulbous knopped front stretcher with plain stretchers to the back and sides. 36½" (93 cm) high, 18¾" (48 cm) wide.
A Fine 18th Century Treen Snuff Box, possibly yew. The lid elaborately carved with Arma Christi ("Weapons of Christ"), or the Instruments of the Passion, with Christ crucified to the centre flanked by the sun & moon, the penitent thief Dismas and wicked thief Gestas amidst implements; ladder, sponge on reed, hammer, pincers, spear, along with a cock, chalice and jug. The hinged, slightly domed lid carved with heart motifs above later gouge carved date 1427 and incised depiction of a pilgrim to the base, 1½" (4 cm) high, 4" x 3" (10 cm x 7.5 cm).
A Set of Eight Lancashire Bar-topped Ladder-back Chairs attributed to Billinge/Pemberton/Wigan, Circa 1780-1875. The curved, slightly domed top bars with tapered outswept terminals and an ogee point centring the underside, above four domed 'rungs' flanked by round turned uprights. The rush seats with protective edging strips raised on turned legs with pad feet, united by bulbous knopped front stretchers and plain turned stretchers to the sides and rear.
A Rare 18th Century Ash & Elm Ladder-backed Armchair. The turned top rail with tapered ends pierced through by the pole turned uprights, above five stick 'rungs'. The flat shaped arm-rests on turned posts leading down to an elm plank seat and on to form the slightly out-swept legs with three stick stretchers to the front & rear, and further pairs of stretcher to the sides, 40" (102 cm) high, 23" (58 cm) wide.
