A Chinese armorial coffee can and four others, painted with eagle and laurel crest over heart shaped shield, the others including a mid 18th century famille rose can and a Canton example (5) Provenance: From the collection of the late Christopher Hogwood, CBE The armorial can with chip to rim, the imari palette can with restoration to rim and the Canton can with chip and crack to rim. The other two are in good condition.
Quantity of oriental including an Imari and Kutani charger Large charger to far right is fine, it has iron straps but will come off. Large Closionne vase to left has 2p dent to base, 1p dent to the shoulder and has heavy wear throughout. Plate charger near cloisonne vase is damaged, Cantonese items - small vase to left smashed, lid to right dog of fo - off and re-glued, the plate under Imari bowl far right has 2in chip and crack out of it.
