A pair of late 19th/early 20th century Japanese Imari vases decorated with landscape cartouche panels, unsigned, 24.5cm high (2)Minimal signs of wear and use, some scratches and minor loss to painted decoration and gilding. Some minimal firing faults and cracks as expected, otherwise in good condition.

A pair of 18th century Japanese vases and covers of inverted baluster form and decorated in Imari colours with a phoenix amongst chrysanthemums and above a fence and rockwork, the lids surmounted by knops in the form of lions, 24cm diameter x 48cm high (2)Qty: 2Both vases with wear to the gilding overall. One vase with a hairline crack running down from the rim to roughly halfway down the vase associated with a firing fault at the rim, the lid with a hairline crack up and around the dome of it, and with repaired chips and further shallow chips to the rim, the lion knop replaced. The second vase with hairline cracks around the centre, further hairline crack running down from the rim around the shoulder and another crack running off that down from roughly below the shoulder to the foot, some scratches and marks to the iron red decoration in areas, a group of various firing faults running horizontally to the shoulder of the vase, the lid with signs of repairs to minor chips in the rim, the knop repaired, possibly areas replaced.
