A 19th century Imari oil lamp, with metal mounts and ceramic reservoir. Height including burner 40 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The burner mechanism seems to adjust correctly. The reservoir has a chip to the bottom edge of the top lip where it joins the main body of the vase. This is visible when seated against the brass top. It is +/- 1.5 mm high and 6 mm long. The ceramic vase body is in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We can see no cracks or chips. All brasswork is present and in generally good order with only minor tarnished areas.
Three late 18th/early 19th century Chinese plates, one Imari and two decorated with chrysanthemum, fence and buildings. Each diameter 23 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The Imari palette plate has a small flake chip to the rim, but otherwise appears to be in good order. A collection of Royal Crown Derby Imari pattern No. 2451 tea and coffee wares comprising twelve teacups and saucers, ten coffee cans and saucers, milk jug and sugar basin, six tea plates, six side plates and a cake plate, together with an oval lobed plate, similarly decorated, bears Registration No. 710700 to base CONDITION REPORTS All pieces appear in good condition - arguably with some minor scratching to the gilding conducive with age and use.
A 19th Century Chelsea type sparrow beak jug with floral decoration, 8 cm high, together with a 19th Century Chelsea type sauceboat with floral decoration, 12 cm long, a 19th Century Chinese Imari sparrow beak jug, 9 cm high and a further floral decorated jug with wrythen body CONDITION REPORTS Small sparrow beak jug basically sound though with some signs of minor wear to the enamel work and the oxide red lined rim. Minor fritting to the circular foot. See images for further detail. Minor hairline cracks to the interior of the beak spout. No signs of restoration under UV. The miniature sauceboat again basically sound though with some wear to the floral spray decoration. Firing fault to the oval foot in the form of a small chip glazed over and small lump directly above it. See images for further detail. No signs of restoration under UV.Chinese Imari sparrow beak jug - appears basically sound and decoration looks good though under UV there is evidence of restoration to the spout.Small wrythen jug - could be described the same. Overall impression good though under UV restoration to spout and rim.
A pair of early 20th Century Japanese Imari scallop edged chargers, approx 31 cm diameter and a Chinese blue and white prunus blossom decorated charger, approx 31 cm diameter together with a 20th Century Chinese polychrome decorated ginger jar with pierced turned wooden lid, approx 23.5 cm high including lid and a Chinese cloisonne lidded box CONDITION REPORTS One of the scalloped edge charges has a crack, both have some flaking to the enamel paintwork and gilt work, cloisonne lidded box has some cracking to the enamel work especially evident to the base, all items have general wear and tear to include firing faults, some surface scratches, etc.
