ROYAL CROWN DERBY; an Imari decorated tea and coffee service, comprising shaped tray, a bowl, a jug, two sandwich plates, twelve side plates, thirteen saucers, fourteen cups, six coffee saucers with six coffee cups and an associated coffee can.Condition Report: Damaged to the associated coffee can, one tea cup which is cracked and missing its handle, and one of the side plates is chipped, otherwise the pieces are in good condition with rubbing to the gilding and some surface scratches.
An early 19th century documentary jug, named for ‘John Jackson’ and dated 1823, decorated in the Imari palette, height 17.5cm, with two smaller jugs similar including an opaque china example initialled ‘R.H’ to the underside, an early 19th century silver lustre jug decorated with deer, two further silver lustre and five other 19th century jugs.Condition Report: The John Jackson jug is restored to the spout and has general light age wear to the surface throughout, the lustre jugs with general rubbing to the silver lustre, the large one decorated with deer has a hairline crack through the base and some crazing, the two smaller silver lustre jugs with general light patina to the surface and a faint star crack to the underside of the cream example, the pink jug with relief moulded detailing with a faint star crack to the underside of the base, this example is stamped ‘Ridgeway’ to the underside of the base, the lilac coloured jug also with a hairline crack to the underside of the base which does extend up into the body.
A Chinese Canton Famille Rose footed bowl decorated in panels with figures and floral sprays, diameter 25cm (af), a smiliar plate, and three Japanese Imari plates (part af) (5).Condition Report: Canton plate with three small rim chips and a clight hair line crack. Three Imari dishes with general wear and a few minor nicks to two of them. Large bowl with two large breaks which are glue repaired, poor condition.
