An early 20th century Royal Crown Derby Imari decorated tazza, a rounded square section shallow bowl and six circular plates, pattern no.1126, impressed date c.1920, diameter of plates 23cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very minor surface wear and rubbing to gilding, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A large Japanese Meiji period Imari decorated jardinière with scalloped rim, the interior decorated with a dragon amongst clouds, the exterior decorated with four circular panels depicting a dragon chasing a flaming pearl and an exotic bird amongst foliage, unmarked to base, height 25.5cm, diameter 36.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There appears to be several areas of good quality restoration around the foot rim to suggest that the bowl may have been in three or four pieces at some stage.
A PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY JAPANESE IMARI VASES of trumpet form decorated throughout with panels and bands of blossoms, butterflies and Ki-Rin amongst clouds, all in the typical palette, unmarked. 38.5cm(h) x 20cm(d) Glaze imperfections showing to the trumpet interior and to base, wear to decoration mainly to gilt, otherwise good, viewing advised.
A PAIR OF LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE JAPANESE ARITA IMARI FLOOR VASES Meiji period, of baluster form with flared and ruffled rim over a band of circular motifs, the neck and body decorated in polychrome enamels with panels of figures, members of the high samurai on horseback and chrysanthemum rich landscapes, all against the iron-red ground with gilt foliate embellishment, painted (Kanji) six character marks to base. 109cm(h) Each vase with stapled/riveted repairs to flared rims, enamel losses to decoration also, viewing advised.
A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD ARITA IMARI PORCELAIN DISH of large proportions, in the form of a Koi Carp, the features highlighted in gilt, the body decorated with panels of blossoms, birds against a stylised geometric and foliate ground, the underside painted in blue with underwater scenes, painted iron red six character marks to base along with painted blue Fuku, and seven kiln stilt marks. 72cm x 46cm A degree of wear throughout but still ok, old iron plate hanger remains, some scratches around hanger, some glaze and other imperfections, viewing advised.
A Japanese Imari circular dish, Meiji period, the centre with underglaze blue bamboo roundel within a typically coloured border of panels, alternately filled with simulated brocade and landscapes depicting an eagle and Mount Fuji beyond, diameter approx 36.5cm, together with a pair of Imari porcelain vases (damaged), and a Chinese famille verte baluster jar and cover (repaired rim).
