A Japanese Imari Plate, Genroku Period, Circa1700 The plate is decorated in underglaze blue, overglaze enamels and gilt highlights with a central roundel containing a jardinière of foliate flowers within a double circle, the cavetto with boughs of flowering prunus, chrysanthemum, bamboo, peony and paulowina. The rim has a band scrolling gilt against a blue ground with eight alternating floral cartouches, the reverse with three branches of blossoming plum, the base with concentric circles in underglaze blue and typical spur marks. Crack to spout of cream jug and evidence of old repair. Rubbing thoughout.
The collection to include sixteen St. Armand ironstone plates with blue transfer printed floral decoration; nine Masons Ironstone Imari pattern plates and dishes; and seven J Marshall & Co Bosphorus pattern transfer printed ironstone plates.Three of the St Armand plates with chips out of the rim. All with crazing and heat damage across the bodies of the plates. Rubbing to the decoration throughout commensurate with age and use. Two of the Masons dishes with a significant biscuit chip out of the rim and repairs elsewhere. The rest of the Masons with scratching to the glaze and several with adhesive disk plate hangers to the back. One of the J Marshall plates with chipping within the central circle of the bowl and throughout the back, another with minor chipping to the foot, and all with craquelure and heat damage throughout the bodies of the plates.

The pottery with light chips, the cup covers missing to the pair of Imari style vases.

The Japanese teaware with mild losses throughout and signs of light chipping, particularly notable on one of the miniature cups. The famille rose vase with notable rubbing to the decoration and some evidence of repainting and repair. The Imari style vase with scuffing to the foot and some abrasions to the body. The spill vase with rubbing to the decoration and light abrasions throughout.
