A Chinese Imari pattern barbers bowl, 18th century, the centre painted with the three friends of winter Pine, Prunus & Bamboo, flanked by peony and chrysanthemums, the border with further flowers, heightened with gilding, the border with two pierced suspension holes, the underside with floral sprigs, 27.3cm diameterCondition report: 12cm long by 4cm deep 'D' shape section broken in to and glued in place, from which issues a full length fine hairline crack, it may have been broken in two and glued together. There are small restored patches where the cracks terminate. A further small section restored on the foot rim. A couple of very small rim chips on the incurve. The bowl still rings out when lightly tapped. Cracks and restoration visible on online images.
