Copeland Spode- a part dinner service in Imari pattern 2379, late 19th/early 20th century, for Belfast retailer Robert Hogg & Co Ltd, comprising; 20 dinner plates, 24.5cms diameter, 23 side plates, soup bowls, 23 tea plates, 7 graduated serving plates, and a dished meat plate, 53cms wide, green factory marks, handpainted pattern numbers (74). Condition Report: Generally good condition. Some mild rubbing from handling and cleaning- larger plates with some wear to central gilding and several of the larger serving dishes showing more rubbing and wear. Condition Report Disclaimer
A mid-19th century English Staffordshire pottery teapot, of compressed lobed form with flared, scalloped foot, foliate capped c-scroll handle and vine fruit finial, painted with chinoiserie scenes in the Imari palette, 6in. (15.25cm.) high, together with the matching two handled covered sucrier and cream jug, the teapot a/f. (3) * Teapot has large crack and glaze chip to widest part of body. A few tiny chips to inner rim of cover and small chip to finial. The sucrier and cream jug in good condition.
A 'NANBAM BOAT' IMARI WARE BOWL Japan, Meiji period H: 9.5cm - D: 21.5cm Provenance: > Private collection; > Former collection of Henri and Jean Brionval, French Diplomats, Tanger, Morocco. Note: Henri Brionval (1907-1978), a French Diplomat, was a member of the United Nations Commission on Korea based in Pusan in 1950. The same year, he was appointed a counsel at the French Embassy in Moscow. His brother, Jean Brionval (1904-), had a long-lasting career in the French Diplomacy as an ambassador with numerous positions such as in Ceylon and Indonesia. Both were avid collectors of Asian antiques. Henri is believed to have acquired numerous paintings and ceramics while living in Korea. Jean Brionval was also a French Diploma who was, notably, Ambassador in Ceylon.

A large Japanese Imari Charger, Edo period, 17th/18th century, the centre decorated with a vase of flowers, bordered by exotic birds and foliate patterns, 53.5cm diameter, together with a 19th century Japanese Imari bowl, 31cm diameter (2)Condition report: The charger is in good condition with just some gilt wear and glaze scratching commensurate with age. The bowl has small chips and fritting to the rim.
