A 19th century Japanese Imari bowl, decorated in typical Imari colours, with character marks to base and raised on a wooden stand. Diameter 24 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This bowl is in very good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is some minor rubbing to the gilding but no real condition issues. The wooden base does have a loss to one of the supporting legs.
An early 19th century Chinese blue and white plate, decorated with fence and buildings, late 9th century Chinese blue and white plate, Imari lidded jar and pair of Satsuma vases. Tallest 32 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The small plate has numerous very small glaze nibbles all around the edge of the rim. None of these are large but they are visible and rough to the touch. The larger plate is in good condition simply very dirty.
Ten pieces of 19th century Imari, plates, bowls and two vases. Tallest vase 16 cm, largest plate width 24 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The oval dish is in good condition with no issues. The oval plate in in good condition also with no issues. The octagonal plate has been broken in to 4 pieces and has old riveted repairs which are particularly visible from the underside. 3 of the 5 circular plates are in good order with only very minor paint losses. The earlier circular plate has an under edge rim chip, a 3 cm hairline crack and further small chip to the top upper lip. The final circular plate has 3 rim chips and 4 hairline cracks. The taller of the 2 vases is in good order with rubbing to the gilding on the top rim only. The smaller vase has a small top edge rim chip but no other issues.
