A limited edition "The Churchill Vase" by Abbeydale China, mid 20th century, the octagonal vase with lion's mask handles and tented cover, decorated in an Imari palette with alternating cobalt blue and white panels, many with gilt achievement motifs, biographical details and one with a portrait, retailed by Thomas Goode & Co Ltd to commemorate Churchill's Honorary US Citizenship in 1963, numbered 221 of 250, set to an associated rotating turned oak stand, the vase 28cm high, the stand 19cm diameter CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows minor rubbing to the gilt, small losses to the odd text letter and a small gilt fault above one of the lions rampant. Otherwise the piece appears to be in generally good order showing, expected minor wear to the feet, but no visible chips, cracks or losses.
