A pair of Japanese Imari chargers, circa 1890/1900, each centred with a jardiniere of flowers and framed by panels of diaper, blossoming prunus, and chrysanthemums, 31.5 cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding is excessively rubbed to the three dark blue panels but otherwise there are no major obvious faults, cracks or chips to report.
A pair of large Japanese Imari chargers, circa 1870/80, decorated with four Kirin between floral cartouches and lotus, 46.5 cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: Both chargers appear to be in good decorative order and there do not appear to be any fractures. The rims are free from any chips. Both chargers have what appears to be a clear brushed finish to the undersides.
Nine Japanese Imari plates, 19th century, decorated in typical Imari colours, most with scalloped edges, widest diameter 26 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One plate has a 4 cm hairline crack. One plate is rather nicer than the rest but it does have a 1 cm hairline chip to its rim, otherwise all plates are structurally sound with no further faults, cracks or restoration to report. All plates have issues with rubbed gilding, minor surface scratches and losses to the red enamel.
