19th century Chinese blue and white saucer decorated with a scrolling dragon 15cm diameter, a small blue and white spill vase of cylindrical form 10cm high, and an Imari covered pot (a.f.) 13cm high. (3) Condition Report. Saucer chipped (x2). Spill vase good. Pot and cover both cracked and glued. As images.
A pair of 19thC Imari vases, each with ribbed shouldered circular bodies and domed covers, with elaborate knops, typically decorated with panels of vases and flowers, with a blue banding beneath, predominantly in gilt, orange and blue, on circular feet, probably Chinese, four character marks beneath, 32cm high. (2)
A Japanese Meiji period Imari-decorated charger, width approx 30.5cm, a famille jaune charger decorated with bats and floral sprays, width approx 34.5cm and a small famille rose jardinière, height approx 17.5cm. CONDITION REPORT The imari platter has some surface scratches and pitting, some slight rubbing to the gilding otherwise ok, the famille jaune charger has some surface scratches, rubbing to the decoration to the rim, a poor repaired 1cm x 4mm chip spuring a hairline crack approx 8cm, otherwise ok, the jardiniere has an area of restoration running around it and also a crack to the body (see additional photo).
A c1800 Chinese Imari-decorated shallow bowl with moulded rim and central panel decorated with a bird amongst flowers and bamboo, unmarked, diameter approx 34.5cm. CONDITION REPORT There is tow 8cm hair line cracks spuring from the rim, a very thin sliver chip to the foot rim, some surface scratches and natural pitting, and some loss to the gilding on the decoration.
