A Royal Crown Derby Tea/Coffee Service hand gilded and decorated in the 1128 Imari pattern, comprising lidded Teapot, lidded Coffee Pot, seven Teacups and Saucers and nine Coffee Cans, all with printed Royal Crown Derby marks to underside, the Coffee Pot 22cm high (including cover) CONDITION REPORT: These are first quality, no cancellation marks to back stamps, one coffee can has interior staining to base, the gilding to the coffee pot spout tip is slightly worn, no damage or restoration detected under u.v. light.
A 19th century Chinese oval porcelain Dish, typically hand-decorated in the Imari palette (in half and repaired); together with one other smaller example decorated with a central flower surrounded by three 'Christmas tree' shaped vignettes decorated with pine trees; both with character marks to underside, the larger oval Dish 27.5cm wide (2)
A large and fine Royal Crown Derby Dinner Service, each piece hand gilded and decorated in the 1128 Imari pattern, comprising a large circular lidded Tureen (29cm diam.) and Stand, the lid finial modelled as an acorn; a two-handled oval Entrée Dish and Cover; a larger oval Platter; twelve Dinner Plates; twelve medium-sized Plates; seven Side Plates and twelve two-handled Soup Bowls (three with circular stands), (52 pieces in total (including lids) and each piece with printed Royal Crown Derby marks to underside) CONDITION REPORT: No damage detected under UV light, one plate has 0.5cm scratch to the gilt rim overall very minor wear to the edges of the gilt surfaces on the plate edges and minor cut marks to centres of dinner plates otherwise good. There are no cancellation or scratch marks through the back stamps.
An 18th Century (probably Chinese) baluster-shaped porcelain Ewer, hand gilded and decorated in the Imari palette (spout away and re-glued at base section), 18cm high CONDITION REPORT: As evidenced by the images taken the Dish exhibits a wire where it was originally hung on a wall, the piece looks in good general overall condition and under a glass minor pinhead sized pieces of gilding to the edge of the rim are noted to be away otherwise in good general overall order. The piece is 14.5cm wide x approx. 2.5cm high Provenance:Given to us for sale by an elderly private lady vendor who inherited it from her parents many years ago.
Minton New Stone Dinner and Dessert Plates, in the Imari palette, comprising five dinner plates, 10.25 inches in diameter, and nine dessert plates, 9 inches in diameter, each hand painted with a floral design in iron red on white, with clobbered style, flow blue scrolls and trellis panels, in a pastiche of Imari style; impressed BB New Stone and with date mark for 1853, plus various shape and painter marks; all dinner plates good condition except for light wear to brown rims, 5 dessert plates similar, 1 dessert chipped to edge, 2 brown stained to upper surface and 1 to underside, light wear to some brown rims
