An impressive pair of Meiji period Japanese Imari jars/vases, the bulbous body decorated in a typical palette of cobalt blue and rust red motifs amongst flowers with large front and reverse cartouche panels, decorated with bird and butterflies amongst flora and foliage, waisted lower body with inverted base having smaller phoenix decorated and dragon chasing flaming pearl panels, 54 x 33 cms (gilt ware glaze imperfections and evidence of possible lids, star crack to base of one)

A box containing a collection of 18th Century and later decorative china wares, to include English Imari decorated cups and one similar saucer, a bullet shaped teapot, Worcester type cup, a Derby twin handled cup and cover, together with four small square stained glass panels and a box of tribal-style carved stone chess pieces CONDITION REPORTS All items in a very worn / distressed state to include hair line fractures, chips, knocks, worn gilding etc. The teapot has a cracked lid, significant chips to the rim, chips to the foot and smaller chip to the spout. All over crazing and wear to the lustre decoration. See images for more details.

A Royal Worcester meat platter with Imari decoration, a collection of early 20th Century Wedgwood "Clematis" pattern dinnerwares to include oval meat platter, three lidded tureens, etc., a set of three late 19th/early 20th Century graduated lustre ware jugs, three late 19th/early 20h Century jugs with moulded relief decoration, a Beauties China "Chiang Nan" tureen, cover and stand, blue transfer decorated with Oriental scenes, a 19th Century willow pattern pottery ladle, a set of six Campden Pottery mugs, willow pattern warming plate, a pair of modern prints etc. CONDITION REPORTS Clematis pattern ware. Large plate is crazed and scratched. Gilt work on other items is wearing in places. Small scratches but generally good. Blue and white tureen, crazing and small scratches. Small chips to rim. Crack to beige fruit decorated jug, in two places at base. Cracks to base of other beige jug. Imari pattern plate is cracked. ALL Items with general wear and tear.

A pair of 19th Century Spode cups and saucers decorated in the Imari taste, a pair of studio pottery vases with relief floral decoration, a collection of 19th Century and later glassware, a Wielden type pottery dish relief decorated with masks, vases and flowers, an amethyst coloured glass liqueur set with gilt decoration, and a small collection of chinawares CONDITION REPORTS Vases; chips to the top of one. All over some marks and light scratches. Large teacup and saucers wear to the gilt and some small scratches. Decanter and glasses, small scratches and slight rubbing to gilt. Plate; cracks throughout, scratches etc. Small teacup with chips to rim. Some small chips to some of the glassware. but generally good. All with general wear and tear.

A Chinese Canton famille rose plate, (rim chips); together with another Chinese blue and white vase and cover; a Chinese tea brick; a Japanese Imari octagonal plate; and an oriental blue and white bowl. Condition Report: BLUE & WHITE BOWL: In good order. BLUE AND WHITE VASE: Vase in good order, the cover has chips to rim and finial. The remaining three items all have chipping to edges.
Lot 1559
A small quantity of English and continental 19th century and later porcelain, to include: a Victorian Davenport Imari cup and associated Royal Crown Derby saucer; a Coalport cup and saucer; a Plaue vase and cover; and another Dresden porcelain twin handled vase and cover. Condition Report: The 'Aynsley' cup and saucer has scuff marks to red ground. The 'Dresden' vase and cover has an old repair to the foot, having nut, bolt and washer through the base. The 'Vienna' cup and saucer has paint loss to the top rim (near handle) and wear to the gilt (handle). Both 'Coalport' and 'Royal Crown Derby' cup and saucers appear undamaged. The 'Plaue' vase and cover has several areas of damage. The cherubs have lost an arm each and several of the flowers and foliage have been broken.
