A Collection Of Imari Pattern Ceramics Late 19th/early 20th century cobalt blue, umber and gilt ceramics.Seven items in total to include two tureens, square jug, barrel shaped lidded vessel, teapot, lidded jug etc. Some items marked to base, 'Wade Heath', and 'Grimwades' Some items in poor condition, several areas of repair.
A large Japanese Meiji period Imari porcelain Temple vase, of ovoid form with waisted neck & everted rim, heavily decorated in gilt and enamel work, the ornately framed reserves depict two traditonally dressed fruit pickers within a forest scene, the main body depicts Golden Onagadori cockerels at the waterside, height 31in. (78.7cm.) on hard wood base. * Condition: Very good condition, no chips,cracks or restoration found.
An extensive Mason's Patent Ironstone China part dinner service, with puce printed factory marks, retailer's mark for Alfred B. Pearce & Co., 39 Ludgate Hill, London EC and painted pattern no. 266, with Imari style decoration, comprising a soup tureen and cover, three covered vegetable dishes, one vegetable dish without cover, two covered sauce tureens with stands, nine graduated oval platters, twelve soup bowls, thirty five 10¼in. plates, twenty four 9½in. plates and twelve 7 5/8in. side plates, some damage. (107) * Condition: Some pieces have wear to paint on yellow lined edges. Decoration otherwise good overall, with just minor scratches and no damage from modern dishwashers. Soup tureen: Chip to edge of cover. Vegetable dishes: One cover with small chip to edge. One base has some discoluration to glaze to interior well. Sauce tureens: One cover broken into several pieces and glued. Oval platters: One 17in. (good cdn.) / two 15¾in. (good cdn.) / two 13in. (one good, the other with large discoloured crack to edge of well on one side) / two 11in. (one good, one with small area of glaze crazing discolouration to well) / two 10¼in. (one good, one with heavily crazed and dicoloured glaze to well); Soup bowls (all good with no damage); 10¼in. dinner plates (thirty three in good cdn. One has large crack and one has glued break to rim and overvarnishing to entire rim); 9½in. plates (one with crazing and some discolouration to well. All others good); Side plates (ten good, two with crazing and discolouration to well).
A small collection of Chinese late 18th century export tea ware, with Imari influenced decoration, comprising a pair of tea cups and saucers; a single tea cup; a single lotus moulded saucer; and a slop bowl, the bowl 4½in. (11.5cm.) diameter. (7) * Condition: - Pair cups & saucers: One cup & saucer in good cdn. One saucer with tiny rim frit and two small chips to footrim (possibly from the making). One cup with small rim chip and small impact crack to rim. - Cup: Good with no faults. - Saucer: Good, with no faults. - Slop bowl: Two large hairlines to rim.
A matched set of six Chinese enamelled porcelain bowls, early to mid 20th century, bearing printed iron red four character Qianlong marks, decorated with honeysuckle flowers, Shou symbols and overall scrolling foliage on a cobalt blue ground, 4 3/8in. (11.1cm.) diameter; together with a matched pair of 18th century Chinese export Imari decorated saucers. (8) * Condition: - Bowls: Two in good condition, with no damage. Two with single hairline to rim. One with small rim chip and hairline. The last with large rim chip and two hairlines to rim. - Saucers: One in good condition, with just one tiny rim frit. The other with star crack to base and a few small rim frits.
A GOOD PAIR OF CHINESE IMARI KANGXI PERIOD PORCELAIN FLASKS, with fitted European metal and floral ceramic covers, each square section body painted with panels of river landscapes and of extended foliage, each base unglazed, 8.9in & 8.75in high overall, the flasks themselves 8.1in & 8in high.
A pair of late 19th century Copeland Imari-decorated ewers with gilt bird and floral central decorated panels, gilt serpents flank handle with mask below handle, height 39.5cm. CONDITION REPORT Very mild gilt loss in two places on one ewer spout lip and in one place on other, otherwise mild wear commensurate with age, good condition.
