It was this time spent in the far east that encouraged his love and lifelong interest in Chinese artifacts, especially blue and white porcelain, jade and furniture *this lot has had one item withdrawn - all now correct in the image and has three items as listed.

(11.8cm.) diameter; together with two further famille rose floral decorated cups; and a pair of Imari cups, decorated in typical colours with garden setting with trellis fencing, highlighted in gilt, 2 7/8in. (7.5cm.) high. (6) *The saucer with tiny chip to outer rim, other pieces with rubbing to gilt highlights etc.
