A 19th Century Japanese Hizen Imari Charger, decorated with kyalin and hand painted with floral decoration, with peach leaf symbol to the base, approx 38 cms Provenance: From a private collection belonging to the Late Dermott Levins, avid Oriental collector, Levins bought from notable London galleries and auction houses in the mid-1940's including Glendining & Co New Bond Street, Yamanaka & Co New Bond Street and later Sothebys.
A Dresden part dessert service decorated with figural panels alternating with floral panels comprising eleven dessert plates, two shaped square bowls, a circular dish, and a candlestick, also a Hammersley part tea service, Queen Anne 13166 Chinse pattern comprising eleven plates, ten cups, twelve saucers, two sandwich plates, a jug and bowl, and a shaped square dish, also four Royal Crown Derby coffee cups and five saucers in Imari pattern 2451. CONDITION REPORT: Surface dirt throughout. Dresden: some rubbing to gilding and paint throughout commensurate with age and use, burn mark to candlestick. Hammersley: jug has crazing to glaze, some staining, one cup stained, one cup with a hairline and staining, one sandwich plate crazed to the glaze, a little wear to the pattern and guilding commensurate with usage and age. Crown Derby: one cup stained, wear to gilding and pattern throughout.
A Chinese Imari vase decorated with a red dragon, 17cm high, three blue and white jars decorated with shishi, 13.5cm high, a jar with mask and ring handles, 15cm high, with a wood stand and a Chenghua marked green dragon vase, 19cm high (6) Three jars crazed and missing lids. Imari vase modern, but fine, Vase on stand modern but fine. Las vase modern, but fine.
A large quantity of Limoges dinner ware decorated with gilt sprigs of flowers and leaves comprising ten dinner plates, twelve dessert plates, four bowls, a large shaped square bowl, two rounded rectangular twin handled lidded serving dishes, two other serving dishes, four platters of graduating sizes, two sauce boats and saucers, six kidney shaped dishes, four small square dishes, five side plates, and six dessert bowls, plus an early 19th century Royal Crown Derby teapot in an Imari pattern, and a Carlton Ware chinoiserie comport. CONDITION REPORT: Limoges: considerable surface dirt throughout, loss to pattern and gilding throughout, one dinner plate is chipped, one of the kidney shaped bowls has a piece missing, one of the small dessert bowls is chipped, two of the side plates are chipped, Carlton Ware bowl is rubbed to the gilt edges.
A quantity of mixed ceramics including a Copeland Spode Imari part tea set comprising teapot, four plates and five cups and saucers, a further part tea set in similar colours comprising sandwich plate and four cups and saucers, some Noritake teaware, two Wedgwood jasperware pin dishes, a further Japanese teapot etc. CONDITION REPORT: Copeland Spode teapot has a crack around the bottom, staining to the interior. Two cups have hairline cracks. One saucer chipped, one saucer stained. General wear to the gilding. Noritake has to chips to the cups, ear to the gilding. Surface dirt throughout.
