A Royal Crown Derby Imari pattern coffee pot, sugar bowl and milk jug, date code for 1933, pattern No. 9021, coffee pot 17.5 cm high, sugar bowl 13 cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: The three items are in very good condition with no obvious chips, cracks or signs of restorations. The condition is akin to having just left the factory. The gilding is very good throughout.
A 19th century Crown Derby Imari pattern trio, and a miniature Stevenson & Hancock Crown Derby Imari pattern teapot and 2 jugs, each with inscribed marks. Teapot height 8.7 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a very fine hairline Y shape crack to the rear of the teapot opening directly beneath the handle. There appear to be no further flaws visible. The teapot lid glazing is finely crazed throughout. The teacup has a very fine 2 cm hairline crack issuing from the rim downwards. Other lustre cup has no obvious chips or restorations. Other than the flaws mentioned all items are free from any obvious chips. The gilding and decoration is good on all.
An Edwardian Royal Crown Derby lazy Susan, date cipher for 1903, in Imari pattern heightened with gilding, printed and impressed marks. 42.5 cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding around the rim is 50% erased but other than that this appears to be free from any obvious chips, cracks or restorations and is generally in good order throughout. The colours and gilding on the surface are bright and intact.
A Royal Crown Derby "Old Imari" pattern biscuit jar, Pattern 1128, factory printed marks. 22 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: This item is in very good condition throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or signs of restoration. The gilding is good throughout. There are no marks to note but this is a first quality piece. The condition is almost looking to have just left the factory.
A pair of Japanese Imari vases, circa 1900, with flared rims above reeded bodies, a single Imari patterned vase and a scalloped Imari charger, tallest 20 cm, diameter of charger 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The charger is in good order with no obvious faults. The pair of vases are in good decorative order albeit both have a little gilt rubbing to the rims. There are no obvious cracks, chips or restorations to any of the items.
An 18th century Chinese Imari porcelain bowl, with under glazed blue panels of precious objects and iron red auspicious flowers. Diameter 22.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This item has been fully restored. There is overglaze all throughout the interior. There is a 9 cm inverted Y shape crack visible. There are scratches to the peony in the centre. The exterior is clean with only slight overspray on the restoration. The bowl rings out nicely when lightly tapped.
A Japanese Imari carp bowl, Meiji period, the interior decorated with a large carp leaping out of water, the exterior with panels of carp swimming beneath a blossoming tree between panels of dragons, clouds and foliage, blue Koransha mark to the underside. 37 cm diameter, 22 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: 30% of the gilding around the rim has been erased. Looking at the interior there are small patches just above the centre of the fish which are unglazed. To the right of the right hand fin there is a small scuffed patch in the glaze. There are further smaller glaze scratch marks and patches throughout the interior. There are further firing flaws within the interior. These should be visible on the website image. There is minimum rubbing to the gilding on the exterior and the enamels appear to be intact and in good order. There are no obvious cracks or chips or signs of restoration. The bowl rings out nicely when lightly tapped.
Japanese Imari, 19th century, comprising large dish, four small dishes, a scalloped bowl and a pair of vases (8). Height of vases 15.5 cm, diameter of large dish 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The large dish is in good order with no obvious faults to include chips, cracks or restoration. The pair of vases are in good order although are of the lowest quality with some small patches of glaze missing. The bowl is free from any obvious chips, cracks or restorations, the enamel is scratched and marked throughout. The small Imari petal shaped dish has a rim chip. All the pieces are free from any obvious chips, cracks or restorations.
