An extremely fine needlework picture depicting The Judgement of Solomon, worked in silk, wool and raised metal brocade on a part painted silk ground. Probably English, first quarter 18th century, 14 ? in. x 20in. 37cm. x 51cm. Very slight shattering to silk ground lower edge left, upper edge centre, right edge centre. Inscription along base: FEMINEAS DIRIMIT REGIS PRUDENTIA LITES JUSTICIA. Framed and glazed.
