Commemorative Coin Collection and Selection of Historical Banknotes The centrepiece of this collection is a commemorative coin bearing the profile of Queen Elizabeth II. Dated 2015, the coin hails from the Bailiwick of Guernsey, as denoted by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY" and the date limned finely on its edge. Encased carefully in a plastic protective holder, the coin is in pristine condition and spans approximately 5-6 cm in diameter. The collection is further supplemented with a selection of diverse historical banknotes. The array comprises an Egyptian fifty pounds note, emblazoned with Arabic inscriptions and vibrantly coloured in pink and purple hues. It showcases an architectural structure that hints towards the country's rich cultural heritage. The United Kingdom is represented by a ten shillings note, characterised by a striking blend of white and green colours and a decorative ornamental pattern. Finally, a Korean 5 won note from 1947, with its inscriptions in blue and red and illustrations of workers, speaks volumes about its historical context. Furthermore, the collection includes an interesting set of late 20th-century coins, all displaying an engraved profile of Queen Elizabeth II. Ranging through different years of issue, including 1983, 1996, 1998, and one with a partially obscured date, each coin symbolises a distinct period in Britain's numismatic history. Indeed, there are also commemorative coins within the collection which explicitly mark key British royal events. The celebration of the millennium is etched on a five pounds coin where a symbolic map signifies the dawn of the new age. Another poignant piece bears the visage of Princess Diana, commemorating the years 1961-1997. Moreover, coins celebrating the milestones within the royal tapestry are included. These comprise a coin referencing the fiftieth birthday of HRH the Prince of Wales and one marking the eightieth birthday of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. These coins add a nuance of royal heritage and pique the interest of collectors interested in British history and royalty.
