An American, possibly Amish, tapestry panelDepicting figures standing before houses waving to a horse drawn carriage carrying a cat and another creature, the side of the carriage decorated with a heart. 187 cm wide; 157 high. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, some general wear, scent of mothball present.
An Aubusson style tapestry rug, principal colours beige, pink and green. Approximately 430 cm x 340 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The carpet is in generally good condition. The colours are generally strong and there is no evidence of any fading. There are some minor stains particularly to the centre oval panel and further minor stains and marks around the perimeter border. There is no evidence of any significant wear or any holes. In our opinion this is machine made and mid 20th century.
An Edwardian mahogany satinwood banded and ebony strung armchair, with tapestry back and seat. CONDITION REPORT: Height to top of back 95 cm, width across arms 54 cm, height to underside of seat 36 cm, seat depth 45 cm. The chair is structurally very sound. There are no loose joints. There is no evidence of any repairs or restoration to the woodwork. The upholstery is serviceable but a little tired, worn, dusty and dirty. The most significant area of wear is across the top of the back. The material has significant losses to the pile here as well as in areas of the seat.
A Victorian rosewood framed beadwork and woolwork tapestry table centre, raised on four short castors. Length 58 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table centre is in generally very good condition. The glass top is not significantly scratched. The beadwork panel is in good condition with no visible losses. The rosewood frame is in good order all round. The castors are original. There are some minor veneer losses to the underside edge none of which are significant.
