There are some marks to the polish on the veneer to the tabletop but no major issues. The hinges are original and operate as they should with no loose joints. The interior of the table is in generally good order. There is some evidence of minor veneer repairs to the crossbanding. The tapestry games surface is a little dirty but has no significant damage. The drawer runs smoothly. The veneer to the frieze is a good colour and uniform all round. The front legs are in good order with no visible repairs. The rear legs are in good condition also. Whilst the top is flat and not warped there is some lifting veneer and some losses to the brass and tortoiseshell around the centre medallion. There are other minor losses at other places on the top. The hinges are sound and secure and all metalwork is present including the lock and key. The interior is in generally good order. The mirror is not cracked. There is a lift out tray. The frieze is in generally good order all round. The shaped apron beneath has some losses to the brass edging strip. The same comments apply to the legs and sides. In total there is approximately 40 cm or so of the edging strip missing. The table is structurally sound. There are some nibbles to the ebonised finish around the extremities of the legs but nothing serious.
