A late 19th century French beechwood fauteuil, upholstered in foliate tapestry material. Height 90 cm, width across arms 94 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The chair is structurally sound with no loose joints. There do not appear to be any repairs to the exposed showframe. At the very front of the piece middle bottom of the front rail there has been a small section of timber detached. This has been nailed back into place but there are no losses. The frame is generally a little marked and scuffed as one would expect. There are no protruding springs from beneath however. The upholstery is generally holed , worn and tired.
