A pair of carved beech fauteuil a la reine elbow chairs, mid 20th century, each with a tapestry padded back rest over a conforming bow front sprung seat within a leaf and ribbon twist carved frame, all upon slender fluted tapering legs and peg feet, 99cm/49cm H x 62cm W x 52cm DCondition reportBoth chairs structurally sound with little or no play in the joints.Light fading to the rear of both chairs, with some edging detached/loose.Some light wear to the upholstery particularly on the arm pads.

A George I walnut wingback armchair, early 18th century and later, the padded back and cushioned seat upholstered in silk damask and inset with a tapestry panel, raised on knee-carved cabriole supports, the back legs replaced,80cm wide82cm deep125cm highProvenance: John Bly, 27 Bury Street, London, January 1995;a private collection, Moor Park, Hertfordshire.Condition ReportOverall the armchair is in good order structurally and cosmetically and ready for use. The upholstery is in good condition but with a small hole to back right corner and some light fading to the arms and a small area of wear and fraying to the right arm rest. The tapestry panel is in very good order. Supports overall in good condition but with evidence of some historic repair and replacement back legs. They appear to be a good match to the front despite obvious difference in age, however, we have uploaded sufficient images for bidders to make their own judgement.
