A set of four George III mahogany dining chairs, with arched top rails, pierced splat back and drop in seats upholstered in woolwork tapestry and raised on tapered legs of square section with stretchers. CONDITION REPORT: The chairs are structurally in very good order. There are no loose joints. There is no evidence of any repairs or any restoration. The back splats are all in good order with no damage. The chair frames have all the usual old scuff marks and scratches as one would expect but no significant issues. The drop in seats are all a little dirty but serviceable. They have clearly been recovered in fairly recent times and are simply dirty and dusty. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.
