Anni Albers. (1899 Berlin - 1994 Orange/Conneticut). Double Weave. 1925 - 1983. Serigraphie auf Velin. 68 x 68 cm. Signiert, datiert und römisch nummeriert. - Kanten leicht angestoßen, insgesamt gut. Ausgezeichneter, kraftvoller und satter Druck mit schmalem Rand. Eines von 25 römisch nummerierten Exemplaren. - Nach dem ikonischen Wandteppich von 1964, der auf dem Design von Albers von 1927 beruht, jedoch erst in den 1960e Jahren unter Albers Anleitung in der Werkstatt realisiert werden konnte. Silkscreen on wove paper. Signed, dated and roman numbered. - One of 25 Roman numbered copies. - Edges slightly bumped, good overall. Excellent, powerful and rich impression with narrow margins. - After the iconic tapestry from 1964, which is based on the design by Albers from 1927, but could only be realized in the 1960s under Albers' guidance in the workshop.

AN AUBUSSON-STYLE FIGURAL TAPESTRY FRAGMENT WITH A TURK'S HEAD Possibly Aubusson or Felletin, France, 18th centuryOf rectangular shape, woven in polychrome wool threads, portraying the profile of a Turkish ruler, ambassador, or member of the courtly elite, characterised by a light brown beard on his chin, wearing a sumptuous, opulent, gem-encrusted headdress with a multifolded ochre yellow turban cloth around the base, with gem-studded epaulets on his shoulders, the fragment once part of a much larger figural panel possibly depicting a diplomatic encounter or historical event, the trimmed edges re-lined in cobalt blue wool with the date 1944 and the initials 'MD', mounted on a gilt, plastered, and mirror-inlaid wooden frame, 57.5cm x 49.5cm including the frame. 57.5cm x 49.5cm including the frame Qty: 1
A late Victorian rectangular drawing room stool with aubusson style tapestry upholstered seat on carved and turned tapering oak legs to later brass castors, 124 cm x 64 cm x 39 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Is sturdy. Replacement castors. There are some splits to the tops of the legs. Some wear and fading to the tapestry top. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include knocks, bumps etc to the legs - see images for more details.
A pair of large French Napoleon III Aubusson entre-fenêtres tapestry panels with floral design, second half 19th C.H 280 - L 114 cm Each with upper half with a cartouche with initials LR, above a ribbon-tied suspended rose-laden basket, the lower section decorated with an abundance of wild flowers, within a crimson coloured foliate decorated border. A French 6-piece Aubusson tapestry upholstered gilt wooden Napoleon III salon suite comprising a canape, three armchairs and two chairs, 19th C.H 103 - L 139 - D 78 cm (the sofa) H 100 - L 71 - D 73 cm (the armchairs) H 98 - L 54,5 - D 67 cm (the chairs) Upholstered in Aubusson tapestry panels to the backs and seats showing 18th-C. pastoral scenes of figures and animals, the canape with an arched panelled back with a moulded chanelled frame carved with foliate scrolls and centred with a cartouche, with padded armrests, on scrolled legs.
