A George III Silver Chamber-Candlestick, by John Schofield, London, 1780, the base oval and with beaded border, with scroll handle and central socket with detachable nozzle, with conforming extinguisher, patched, 14cm diameter, 7oz 14dwt, 239grFully marked under base and further part marked on nozzle and extinguisher. There is some wear to the marks, particularly the maker's mark underneath which is only partly visible. There is some overall surface scratching, wear and bruising. There is an oval patch on the side of the border opposite the handle.
