William Lee of Birmingham (active 1759-1780), A pair of candlesticks, George III, third quarter 18th century brass, with moulded rims and knopped stems on 'petal' bases, the underside of each stamped 'Wm Lee', repairs to one stem (2) h.23cm. A pair of late 19th/early 20th Century French ormolu and patinated bronze table candlestick lustres, each urn shaped sconce above ten anthemion sprays, hung with cut glass drops, each baluster body cast with a fruit and flower band, on a circular foot cast with scrolls, height approx 24cm (one nozzle lacking and minor faults), each within a glass dome and stand.
A mid-18th Century South Staffordshire enamel candlestick painted with flower sprays on a white ground, on a domed base (faults), together with a mid-18th Century enamel box and cover of egg form, possibly Battersea, the hinge lid and body painted with figures in scenes of war, length approx 7.5cm (chipped and repaired).

A rare airtwist taperstick circa 1750 the slender nozzle with everted rim set on a small flattened knop over a beaded cushion knop, above a multi-spiral airtwist section with shoulder and base knop, with domed foot 15.5cm., 6.125in. A similar taperstick with the same stem form but with a domed and terraced foot, was sold in our New Bond Street Rooms, 21st October 1981, lot 8.
