An early 20th century rococo style brass and cut glass ink well / desk tidy having two cut glass and brass topped inkwells of a rectangular form with brass candleholder set on a twin handled tray decorated with foliate motifs. Together with a brass candlestick. No makers marks. Measures: 7.5cm high x 30cm wide 13cm deep. Condition: good condition overall, large chip on one of the inkwell.

Bekrönende Deckelschale mit Draperie und Frauenmasken. Chrysoprasgrüner Fond. Reiche Goldstaffage. Auf drei Seiten sepiagemalte, sog. "fliegende" Kinder in goldradierten Rahmungen. Zifferblatt Email. Hakengang. Halbstundenschlag auf Glocke (Aufhängungsfeder def.). Entsprechend dekorierte Leuchtervasen mit Frauenköpfen, Säulenschaft und quadratischem Stand. H. 34,5/27 cm (restauriert). Die Modelle um 1773/75. Vgl. Lenz, Berliner Porzellan, Berlin 1913, Bd. II, Tafeln 102/104. Laut innenliegender alter Notiz ein Geschenk der Deutschen Kaiserin Augusta an den Archivar und Historiker Leopold von Eltester (1822-79) vom November 1875, wohl als Anerkennung für seine Mitarbeit an der Allgemeinen Deutschen Biographie, deren erste Bände in diesem Jahr erschienen. Bracket clock and a pair of KPM candlestick vases around 1875 colored and gold painted, blue scepter mark, 1st choice, on volute feet the waisted watch case with wrapped bar frieze, with leaf decor, volutes and lateral, three-dimensional putti heads over latticework, crowning lid with drapery and women's masks, chrysoprase green base, with rich gold decor, so-called "flying" children in gold etched frames, sepia-painted on three sides, emailled dial, hook walk, half hour strike on bell (suspension spring def.), correspondingly decorated candlestick vases with women's heads, column shaft and square stand. height: 34.5 / 27 cm (restored), the models around 1773/75. comparison Lenz, Berliner Porzellan, Berlin 1913, Vol. II, plates 102/104, according to the inside old note, a gift from the German empress Augusta to the archivist and historian Leopold von Eltester (1822-79) from november 1875, probably in recognition of his work on the "Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie", the first volumes of which were published that year
