A French Louis Boulle tortoise shell style mantle clock and matching candlestick garniture. 8 day French two train movement striking on a bell, serial number 6196 engraved on the backplate Planchou Paris and stamped makers mark Japy Freres. A 4" convex porcelain dial with roman numerals and Arabic minutes. Unreadable name on the dial but Paris is just readable above 6 o'clock. Fine brass hands, a case brass bezel with convex glass. A wooden case veneered in tortoise shell and adorned with lovely brass guilt castings, raised on four cast feet.Dimensions Clock 16" x 8" x 6"Condition report Good condition needs a clean and movement a service. Movement not tested hair crack to dial at 6 o clock.
