A Collection of Brass & Iron-wares: A 19th Century Copper Bound Brass Bucket, two pairs of brass candlesticks with sliding stub ejectors, 7½ ins (19 cms) and 7 ins (18 cms) in height, a late 18th/early 19th century candlestick with candle slide 10 ins (25.5 cms) in height. Two brass ladles with pierced handles 17¼ ins (44 cms) and 16½ ins (42 cms) in length. An excavated iron spear head 15¾ ins (40 cms) in length. A small 18th century sheet metal lantern with oval bullseye window (A/F) 7 ins (18 cms) high. Three antique iron locks and a pair of iron strap hinges 15¾ ins (40 cms) in length.
A German Schierholz candlestick base centrepiece in the form of four dancing children above flowers, with blue Schierholz mark underneath, height 21cm and a further Continental ceramic figural group of three children dancing and playing, marked verso, height 18cm, plus a matched pair of Royal Worcester blush ivory and gilt floral decorated twin handled posy vases, shaped no.942 with impressed marks to base, Z11 and Z9, with puce Royal Worcester mark for 1888 and 1889, height 17cm and a Mintons cabinet plate decorated with wild roses with pierced Greek key rim, pattern PA2805 with puce Mintons mark to base, diameter 24cm (5). CONDITION REPORT: The centrepiece appears to be the base of a candlestick as the top of the central stem is rough as if another piece should lead from it. A couple of the flowers have tiny pieces of petal missing, otherwise the figures are in good condition. The other figure group has a very small amount of rubbing to the gilding enhancing the figures otherwise in good condition, Two Royal Worcester vases have rubbing to the gilding particularly to the shoulders of the twin handles and on one the shoulder is chipped. Mintons plate is in good condition.
A small Victorian hallmarked silver cream jug of squat baluster form, maker's mark partially obscured, London 1859, height 4.5cm, a cased set of six silver handled dessert knives, Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1819, and a white metal candlestick with bell shaped sconce and loaded circular base, weighable silver approx 1.4ozt (3).
A Royal Copenhagen porcelain urn overall painted with floral sprays, with malt finial modelled as a cherubic figure, raised on spreading circular foot to square base, height 28.5cm, and a rococo style scroll decorated candlestick, height 31.5cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The candlestick has some original cement visible where the sconce is attached to the main body, which is not restoration, just how it was made.
