A 19th Century Silver Travelling Candlestick, Apparently Unmarked, Probably English, First Half 19th Century cylindrical and with spreading base, the finial detachable and with screw finial which fits into the base to act as a handle, the lower body bayonet-mounted 17.6cm high, 2oz 9dwt, 76grThere are apparently no hallmarks. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a bruise to the base which causes it to rock when placed on a flat surface. Tests as approximately sterling standard.
