A pair of George III silver table candlesticks, each with a removable sconce and knopped stem, on a weighted square base, by Ebenezer Coker, London 1751, 26cm high (2)Accompanied by a valuation carried out by the family in 1969 by Triggs of Enfield for £1,700 and another by Sabine Antiques, of Stock, dated 1992 for £3,250. The unweighted stick is 624g including the sconce. Overall condition appears complete and straight. The candlestick with the base removed is clearly hallmarked inside the base, the other we cannot see. Both are hallmarked with part marks on the sconces. The weighted candlestick appears to have the filling perished as it will move around under the cover. General signs of age and use, but no obvious damage or visible repairs. Recently inherited by the family.
