A pair of George III silver candlesticks, maker indistinct, London 1784, of Neoclassical form with swagged sconces, square fluted columns and on a swagged foot, crested, 32cm high weighted CONDITION REPORT: The candlesticks are basically sound, there is wear to the raised decoration, each has a crest and a monogram to the foot. The sconces are each marked with the lion passant only. One sconce is pushed in a bit and the other is very bent out of shape. Each candlestick has a wooden base and we are unsure what is under this, perhaps a lead weight or something similar. They rattle a bit when turned upside down or shaken.
